Words like “perfection” and “the best” are so absolute. Their use can gloss over the nuance and complexity of things. After all, there is so much character and beauty in the imperfect. With that in mind, I will say that Hannah and Ben’s wedding in Bolinas was darn good. Full of beauty, nuance, complexity, and love. Their venue had been sold and movers were coming in two days to pack up all the custom furniture, rugs, and belongings of the previous owners. It was kind of mind blowing how splendid the place was. One of my favorite caterers, Katie Powers, did the local, organic, taste bud loving food. Morgan, from Spreading Lovely Planning and Design, in her cool and easy way, made sure that the day ran smoothly. Gabe Cortez played an eclectic, fun, easy to dance to set of music. Details aside, Hannah and Ben were so delightful to be with. At the end of the night once the music had stopped, it was hard to go home. And so we just hung out and chatted for a while, enjoying the night, the company, and the beautiful surrounding.
