Sometimes you prepare for rain, expect rain, and instead get nothing but blue sky. In the days leading up to Calla and Jo’s wedding, the forecast looked wet. We came up with a rough plan in case of rain, but it didn’t vary so much from the clear day plan. When I arrived at the house in Stinson Beach where getting ready was taking place, Calla and Jo were enjoying the beautiful day and doing their hair and makeup together. There was Cowgirl Creamery cheese in the kitchen and a loaf of local bread. Once Calla and Jo were ready, we heading up to Mount Tam where their wedding guests were dropped off via yellow school buses. A progression to Trojan Point soon followed. There was music, singing, toasts, and Calla and Jo married each other (no officiant). After some pictures among the Serpentine rock formations, we heading to the Stinson Beach Community Center for Hog Island Oysters and beautiful food by Fork Full of Earth and the live music of Qinn Deveaux and his band. Such a wonderful day.

Great people, beautiful places, fun times, lots of love, laughter, and joy, excellent food and music… 2015 was a good year.
It’s about time USA. Love has won. It is a little mind boggling that it has taken so long to grant marriage equality to all, but better late than never. I am super pleased to share an intimate elopement ceremony between Vanessa and Marcela. They were married by Vanessa’s grandmother on Father’s Day on Mount Tamalpais in a very sweet ceremony with close family. The love and joy radiating from everyone there was overwhelming. Vanessa was at the birth of my first child on the day I became a father. I felt incredibly honored to be there on the day when she married her love, Marcela.
