2017 was a strange year. The overall level of uncertainty seemed unusually high. There were fires and floods in California, and wacky politics everywhere. As crazy as last year felt, when I look back at the people I worked with and the way they gracefully danced with uncertainty, I feel nothing but love. After many years of shooting weddings and working with couples and their friends and families, I am still stoked about what I do. Here are 100 images from last year.

Fun times with Carolyn and Andrew. We hit up some of my favorite spots in the Presidio. Getting ready at the Inn at the Presidio, a quick jaunt to Goldsworthy’s Wood Line, a stop off at those bunkers overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge, and a pause at that place were the new freeways come together… and all before the ceremony started at the Presidio Chapel. Fantastic flowers by Belle Flower and delightful reception at the Golden Gate Club. Good stuff.
The Headlands Center for the Arts in Marin seems to inspire creativity. From the food, to the wall coverings, to the co-ed bathroom, so many aspects of this place are touched with beauty. The first of two weddings that I shot here in July, Rachael and Josh’s was a delightfully California wedding. Katie Powers Catering, as usual, put out an amazing spread of local culinary delights with fried chicken as the main course for dinner. A kickin’ Fleetwood Mac cover band aptly called Fleetwood Mask rocked the dance party.
