With fires and storms raging and life being uncertain as it is, connecting with loved ones feels that much more important. Chelsea and Daniel’s celebration at the Triple S Ranch, set against mature nut trees and beautiful Victorian buildings with a charred landscape just a stone throw away, was a reminder of the delicate balance of life. Thankfully dance, good food, and merriment dominated their wedding day. Niki Wolfe Events (Niki is the BEST), Front Porch Farms, and Golden Bell Music helped to make the day run smoothly, look great, and keep the party jumping.

2017 was a strange year. The overall level of uncertainty seemed unusually high. There were fires and floods in California, and wacky politics everywhere. As crazy as last year felt, when I look back at the people I worked with and the way they gracefully danced with uncertainty, I feel nothing but love. After many years of shooting weddings and working with couples and their friends and families, I am still stoked about what I do. Here are 100 images from last year.
Oak, olive, fig trees, and grape vines are scattered around the grand old Victorian house at the Beltane Ranch in Glen Ellen. The horses know very well that there are carrots to be had and do not shy away from visitors. This ranch has a lot of character and was a great place to shoot. It was a fantastic backdrop for Jeni and Nathan’s super fun wedding.
